The long awaited Toyota sports coupe that was co-developed in partnership with Subaru made its official global debut at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show. The main focus of this car is bringing back driver feel instead of focusing on the horsepower war.
The GT 86 is named after the legendary Toyota Corolla GT from 1986 and features a low center of gravity, while only weighing about 1,2 tons. It’s powered by a 2.0-liter boxer engine developed by Subaru and fitted with Toyota’s direct and port technology. The output of 200 hp is enough to push the sports coupe to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 6 seconds flat and on to a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph).

The power is sent to the limited slip differential at the back via either the standard six-speed manual short-shifter or an optional six-speed automatic with paddle shifters mounted behind the wheel.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
