Honda is powering dreams with electricity nowadays, as they chose to unveil the EV-STER, a small sportscar concept with roadster looks, on home turf at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show. We know that fans of the brand were waiting for a successor to the NSX or the S2000, but that doesn’t take away from the awesomeness of this design.
At just 3,57 meters in length and with a wheelbase of ,2325 mm, this is one of the smallest sportscars you’ll ever see driving down the road.
The EV-STER is powered by an electric motor and a 10kWh lithium-ion battery drivetrain, sending all the power to the roadster concept’s back wheels. The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint takes 5 seconds, while the top speed is 160 km/h (100 mph).
As for the boring stuff, the battery’s maximum output is 58 kW, and it can be fully charged in 3 hours using a 200V outlet. It would be awesome if they put it on the road, but you must consider this concept is filled carbon fiber, which is really expensive.
