In case you didn't already know, MINI vehicles might no provide a lot of space (that being said in the same way SUV drivers understand the notion of space) but they do have a lot of tricks up their sleeves to compensate.
The boot for example, has plenty of ways to maximize storage and space usage, especially on the Countryman. That's because the whole purpose of this car was to bring more space (and doors) to the regular MINI enthusiast that wanted that British feel and bit more space.
One thing people don't usually know about their Countrymans is that the boot has a flat load floor that can be raised to get more space. In order to do so, you just have to lift it and press it against the rear seats, locking it into place.
Then, to lower it, you simply have to lift the flat at the top and pull the side handles inward and then press it down. Furthermore, you can actually get an optional second flatbed floor that is pretty useful for the situation when the back seats are folded. For more info, check the video below.
