Tips for Driving in the Rain - Sci-Fi Version

Sci-fi movies from half a century ago told us that we’d all be driving flying cars by now, so stop what you’re doing and go look at the sky? Do you see any? No, you couldn’t, because the engineers spent the decades that separate us from the aforementioned sci-fi movies developing an aura that reduced water drag to absolute zero.
However, this aura is generated by pieces of machinery that are extremely expensive, so it only comes as an optional extra for certain cars. In the adjacent image, we’ve got the first generation of sports cars that use this water-repelling aura.

Just take a look at that Supra or at the Skyline R26 - they seem extremely happy to tackle the snorkel-requiring water!
