Tiny Nissan GT-R Convertible by Liberty Walk Is Ultra-Adorable

There are really cool kei cars in Japan that we wish we could try overseas, like the Honda N-One and Suzuki's sporty Alto Turbo RS. But we're not aware of Nissan's GT-K, a shrunken version of the dreaded supercar killer, the GT-R.

The famous Japanese tuning company Liberty Walk has presented this custom creation ahead of the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show. Not only does it have the mini GT-R look going on, but it's also a convertible.

Everything about this kind of reminds me of the 1988 movie Twins. You have Arnold Schwarzenegger who's all muscular and serious, joined by his supposed twin brother Danny DeVito who's bald, really short an with a dubious dress code.

And at the end of the day, the GT-R and GT-K aren't related either. The only convertible kei car in Japan with those headlights is the Daihatsu Copen. So technically, this is a Toyota, not a Nissan!

The Copen also happens to have some awesome bumps on the hood which you can see here too. However, the engine is longitudinal and is only a 660cc 3-cylinder. So Liberty Walk installing four titanium exhaust tips is a bit of a joke.

Their trademark style of screwing fender flares straight into the body remains mouth-watering to this very day. Together with an oversized swan-neck wing, it gets us in the mood to drive a 64 horsepower convertible. Before you start judging, know that the kit probably costs as much as the car itself.

We say "probably" because no pricing information is available at this moment. But we wonder if this is legal, to begin with since that grille is trademarked by Nissan. Hopefully, they too will see this as a bit of a joke, Danny DeVito to their supercar-rivaling Schwarzenegger.
