Three Porsche 918 Spyder at a Hotel

Ah, the Porsche 918 Spyder, the unrevealed hypercar that we already know everything about, even though it hasn’t been revealed yet. The car is designed as a technological tour o force, and since it will cost about a million dollars after taxes, Porsche is touring it round the world to make sure every potential billionaire buyer has a chance to see it.

We could tell you that Porsche built so many prototypes because they wanted to make sure the car runs perfectly, but really, it’s just a multi-million promotional stunt. Three Porsche 918 Spyder prototypes were spotted by WillLillo at the Sitges Hotel in Spain, and they were even parked in the underground park.

You should definitely check out how the Martini-livered car parks in electric move, completely silently. The car’s current provisional performance figures stand at 0-100km/h (62mph) in less than three seconds and a top speed in excess of 325km/h (202mph). It also comes with a hefty price tag – €645,000 in Europe or $845,000 in the US, both before tax and extra charges. There’s an even more expensive version, equipped with the Weissach Package, which removes the air conditioning and entertainment to make it 34 kg (77 pounds) lighter. This car has already set a blistering time round the Nurburgring of 7 minutes 14 seconds. This is 8 seconds faster than the previous time of 7 minutes 22 seconds, and Porsche’s CEO suggested it might even go under eight seconds.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
