Three Men “Painting” the New C-Class with Tape Is Cool

With the all-new C-Class making its way into US dealerships, the German automaker is pushing the pedal hard with creative commercials. The newly revealed ad for the 2015 model year sedan just hit the web and it shows three men “painting” the new C-Class Benz only using tape, and we like it.

The all-new C-Class is designed as the next big thing in the world of small German executive cars so with that comes also great design. Great design and marketing, that is. The video shows a white wall turning into a proper work of art with the three artists only using black tape. The Germans brag of their designs as being “everything - but not ordinary,” which in this case we totally agree with.

Using tape to paint a car might sound hard to make and... well, it is. That doesn’t stop the three Mercedes-Benz designers from transforming the new C-Class to an impressive artwork. And to proove we know squad about painting, we’re wondering how much tape they needed to design the sedan.

Anyway, as to the actual car, well, the new C-Class went on sale nationwide on August 25th. For the next year, the company is planning to launch two more versions, the C450 Sport and an all-new C 63 AMG, expected to pack a 4-liter twin-turbo engine. Both C 300 models use the same 2-liter turbocharged direct-injection in-line four-cylinder engine as the C 250, delivering 241 hp and 273 lb-ft (370 Nm) of torque.
