It was a rather interesting afternoon in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the other day, at least for three mechanics who were just going out to have lunch. While driving to their favorite restaurant, Joseph, Gabe and Kenneth noticed a black Volvo S60 that looked a lot like one that was in their shop the other day.
The guys were understandably suspicious and decided to take a closer look, especially since the customer who was in the shop with the car had since reported it stolen. Upon closer inspection, the guys recognized the car by the rims and then called the rightful owner to confirm that it hadn’t since been recovered.

Once she confirmed that someone was still enjoying her car without her consent, the brave guys decided to follow it around while also alerting the authorities on the phone.

It didn’t take long for the driver to notice that she was being followed and start trying to shake the guys off. Unfortunately for her, they were sitting inside exactly the same model and were able to keep up. The desperation in her actions seems to suggest that she knew she was in trouble way before the cops showed up.

Speaking of which, thanks to the excellent team work the guys showed in their pursuit (one was driving, one was co-piloting, and one was on the phone with the police, guiding them), it didn’t take long until the suspect was apprehended, thanks to a K9 unit.

The suspect turned out to be 26-year-old Elizabeth Newton, who didn’t want to go down easy and was booked for possessing a stolen car, speeding, driving with a suspended license, no insurance, and resisting arrest.

After the whole thing was over, the Police understandably advised viewers not to attempt doing the same and instead let them handle things, but we can’t but commend these guys for their bravery. It’s definitely good to have such dedicated mechanics on your side.
