Their safety, value and performance led the Lexus IS and GS models to their nomination as finalists in the 2013 Australia’s Best Cars (ABC) awards.
Judges from Australia’s motoring clubs chose three IS and GS models to compete in the ABC awards, together with 210 different models in 15 categories.
"The Lexus range has represented quality and value since the marque was introduced, and the awards the brand has picked up over the years are testament to that," said Lexus Australia chief executive Sean Hanley. "Both the new IS and GS models are ground-up designs representing the latest in Lexus technology; and on top of that these cars are designed to be enjoyable to drive.” he added.
The 2014 Lexus IS 300h was nominated for the Best Medium Car over AU$50,000, while the GS 350 F Sport and GS 450h took position in the Best Large Car Over AU$60,000 category.
