Three LaFerraris Arrive at Monza Track, Cause a Scene

The 458 and F12 gathered last week at the Monza track in Italy were completely overshadowed by not one, not two, but three freshly assembled LaFerraris coming out to play.

With only 499 of these to be built and all of them already sold, you're unlikely to see three LaFerraris in the same place at once. But of course this being a Ferrari-organized event the turnout is great. Where else would you see a 740 horsepower F12berlinetta being overtaken by a 963 horsepower LaFerrari?

Although it hasn't received the same kind of attention as the McLaren P1 and Porsche 918, Maranello's fines is still hugely exciting. The presence of this car is spectacular, as you're overwhelmed by the sound of engine and the beauty of that glorious body design.

The LaFerrari is a number-fest for us power junkies. With a V12 providing the bulk of 800 hp, the other 163 hp is filled in by an electric motor. It's easy to dismiss the LaFerrari as just a pretty face, but look at the numbers. Not only is it hugely powerful, but in some areas it's also faster than the P1. The 0 to 186 mph (300 km/h) time is 15 seconds to the McLaren's 17. 15 seconds to reach a speed most German cars aren't allowed to… maybe this thing deserves a shrine at the Monza track!

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
