Three Customized Lincoln Cars at the 2009 SEMA Show

Ford announced that three aftermarket Lincoln cars will be on display at the 2009 SEMA Show, scheduled to be held in Las Vegas on November 3-6. The Lincoln MKS, MKT and MKZ project vehicles are said to prove that luxury doesn't necessarily have to be conventional.

"Lincoln as a brand is continuing to attract younger customers to the showroom with products like the MKS, MKZ and the new MKT luxury crossover," said Amy Marentic, Ford North American Car and Crossovers group marketing manager.

“Customization is about individuality and reflecting who you are. That is particularly true about the new generation of people who are buying cars,” said Ford SEMA Designer Melvin Betancourt. “The vehicles at this year’s SEMA show prove that Lincolns have great personalization potential.”

The MKS belongs to the Raceskinz tuning company, and it is finished in a pearlescent white color with many carbon fiber accents, such as on the roof overlay, the side door moldings, the rear diffuser accent, mirror covers, trunk accent, antenna cover, license plate frame, fog light bezel and rear spoiler.

The same carbon fiber accents can also be found on the interior dash trim kit, door panel and rear center console. Completing the look are the offset carbon fiber-faced wheel rims and carbon fiber exhaust tips.

The MKT, belonging to Rick Bottom Designs, is finished in a Turnin’ Orange custom paint, looking orange in the sun and red in the shade. The tuners lowered the suspension by two inches and removed the door handles, while using a two-tone leather and matching floating armrests for the interior.

Last but not the least is the MKZ, which features a redesigned rear spoiler, rear upper roof spoiler, stainless-steel lower chrome door moldings and stainless-steel dual exhaust extensions, all custom made by 3dCarbon. It also includes a Magnaflow stainless-steel cat-back exhaust system and TSW “Snetterton” Hyper Silver 20-inch wheels.
