"Oh, a BMW M235i just crashed at the Nurburgring. What, another one? No way, there's a third, and this time, it's a rollover," I said to my editor just moments ago.
It's a really sad day for fans of the BMW M235i and a horrible one for racers at the Nurburgring. This weekend is the 8th installment of the VLN. And even though conditions were perfect, lots of crashes occurred.

We don't know the order in which they happened, but we've listed them in the same order they were uploaded to YouTube.

#151 probably suffered some sort of mechanical issue because he just smashes into the track barrier and gets flung back onto the track. With his front suspension torn to shreds, he is at the mercy of the racing gods. Thankfully, the Scirocco coming up right behind him is able to steer clear at the last moment.

The race appears to be over, but Nurburgring tourist traffic is sent onto the track, even though the ADAC's recovery truck hasn't picked up the M235i yet. This creates the embarrassing sight of being passed by a giant tour bus.

After that, we get to see the most horrible crash of the three. This time, the M235i is passed on the inside by an M6 but collided with a LeMans-style prototype. It's sent into the wall and rolls over. Fortunately, the driver's life is saved by the roll cage.

The last video is the from the same uploader as the first, AA Nordschleife Media. It shows another M235i Racing in purple livery hitting the barrier. Fortunately, it's an elastic one, so the car is able to limp on without blocking traffic.

Maybe the trio of crashes is a sign that these teams needed to upgrade to the newer M240i. Do they even make a racing version of that?
