As much as we love seeing a lot of Vipers gathered in one place, there's another sight of the venomous muscle car we enjoy better: one that involves a drag strip.
Just like Dodge suggested in a recent commercial, the Viper is at top of the food chain when it comes to the car jungle and even more than that, our review of the 2014 SRT Viper revealed this car is a true American Idol.

But this is not the reason you're here. We wanted you to see this video because the Viper in the clip blasted on the quarter mile in 10.974 seconds, at a top speed of 127.94 mph (205.8 km/h).

Why is this so special? Well, the car in question is a 2013 Dodge Viper imbued with the brand's $3,500 Track Pack, responsible for reducing the car's weight by 62 lbs (28 kg).

This is achieved by using two-piece brake rotors and lightweight wheels sized 18 x 10.5 inches on the front and 19 x 13 inches on the rear. According to the video description, the Viper is 100% stock, except the 19-inch drag radials, which replace the ultra-high-performance Pirelli Corsa tires offered by Dodge as part of the Track Pack.

Of course, the most important "part" of the car remains the driver. Behind the wheel during this attempt was Tony Whatley aka "Nine Ball", someone who knows what he's doing when it comes to putting cars through their paces on a straight line.

Also, there's a bonus coming from the video's soundtrack, where the main character is, of course, the roaring 8.4-liter V10. See it for yourselves, below.
