This Unique Mercedes SLR McLaren by Mansory Looks Mighty

Though, to be frank, I absolutely dig them! Just looking at some of their awe-inspiring creations like the Mansory Cabrera (based on a Lamborghini Aventador SVJ) or the formidable Zapico custom bike gives me the shivers in a very pleasant way.

Not to even mention the highly anticipated Le Mansory, a complete vehicle conversion based on the Ford GT and one of their finest displays of utter brilliance.

In any case, their portfolio never exactly lacked such displays.

Take, for instance, this stunning one-of-a-kind Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren. They managed get a hold of one of the only 2,157 such pieces ever built by McLaren between 2003 and 2010 and, as if it wasn’t already majestic enough in its original form, took it one step further.

The standard supercharged 5.4-liter V8 mill produced a monstrous 626 horsepower, but Mansory topped that with over 700 hp.

With a complete carbon fiber exterior (SLR does stand for Sport Light Racing, all things considered) finished in Crystal Galaxite black metallic and an enlarged nose, this exclusive super-whip sits on 21-inch custom wheels developed on the finest Formula 1 technology. The tuner even went as far as installing LED lights on the side air intakes, which turn on whenever the gullwing doors are open. Just, you know, to look extra cool and stuff.

Oh, and is there something about that spoiler that somehow blends together with the whole thing in a very esthetic way, or is it just me?

When you open the hood on the SLR McLaren, that’s when it starts to look like a downright antagonist from Transformers. You could probably mess with kids’ minds by driving it to a crowded spot, opening the hood and telling them you’re walking your pet transformer (or something like that, use your imagination!). For extra effect, make sure you also open both doors and tie a leash to it.

Actually, don’t. That’d be weird.

Moving on to the interior, we see a continuation of fine carbon fiber trimmings in everything from the seats and modified flat-bottomed steering wheel, to the roof and center console. Literally, almost everything is lined with carbon fiber.

Nevertheless, we would point out that such a low-mounted touchscreen might result in distracted driving, and could therefore be considered a weakness of Mansory’s interior design.

But otherwise, how can you not love it?

So, in case all this got you pumped, this unique 700+hp demon is currently for sale in top condition, with only 21,343 miles (34,349km) on the clock! All you need is $328,887 (€290,000 at current exchange rates) to spare and a fair amount of free time to pick it up from the Baan Twente dealership in The Netherlands.

Good luck with that. Personally, I’ll pass this time, thanks. Though I still can’t help admiring it…
