This Transformers Bumblebee Costume Actually Drives

You know you’ve built a successful movie franchise when people are crazy enough to dress as robots that transform into cars. Nobody dresses up like the Power Rangers any more but Bumblebee...
It’s not every day that you have to fight off an alien giant robot invasion, but it’s nice to know somebody who can help. This next guy’s costume is at least a hundred times cooler than any vintage Star Trek uniform and if he can fight as well as he can transform, the Earth is in good hands.

But seriously, this Bumblebee costume is by far the best one yet. Not only does he look just like a car when he squats, but he’s got a motorized pair of wheels on one of his hands so he can sort of… drive.

Bumblebee is by far the most famous cast member of the Transformers series. It might be because of his lovable personality, the radio voice or the whole yellow Chevy Camaro thing. Either way, people somehow want to be just like him.

Michael Bay and the other people working on the movies have given some sci-fi fanatics good reason to love robots once more. Every Transformers movie is peppered with scenes that cost tens of millions of dollars to make and involve totally kickass fight scenes. For example, in Dark of the Moon, Bumblebee is captured by the Decepticons, but manages to fight at least half a dozen of them at a time and win. It’s that sort of stuff that compels guys like this to put on the yellow and black.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
