This the Muscle Car Batmobile We’ll See Robert Pattinson Drive

At the beginning of March, we got our first glimpse of the Batmobile that the new version of the Dark Knight will be using for his crime fighting exploits. The dark images showed some dark lines and muscle car vibes, enough of them to get us all pumped up.

Over the weekend, clearer images of the Batmobile surfaced, courtesy of concept model maker Jeff Frost and the movie’s director Matt Reeves. And if this, or something similar to it, is what we’ll actually get to see in the movie, then that’s a major departure from what we’re used to.

Historically, perhaps with the exception of the Barris-built Lincoln Futura used in the 1960s television series, Batmobiles have been extreme vehicles, hard to trace back to the real world. This one, however, looks much more car-like, and of a kind we like.

There’s little information to go on when it comes to this new vehicle, but a simple and superficial look at the photos (which are currently unaccessible on Frost’s website) reveals it may very well be a muscle car-like Batmobile, the first of its kind.

Like it or hate it, something like the car in the gallery above is what we’ll probably get in the next Batman movie, and like it or hate it former vampire Robert Pattinson will be playing DC’s major superhero, so he will get to drive it.

Also starring Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman and Colin Farrell as The Penguin, the movie is scheduled to be released sometime in 2021. Filming was suspended over the past couple of months due to the ongoing health crisis, but recently resumed.

At the time of this writing, the plot of the movie is not known, but considering that The Penguin comes into play, expect to see a tad more sane approach to doing evil than we are accustomed to from past films.
