The new car smell has become something that so many people are craving for, and obviously, this isn’t the kind of “feature” that you should be able to find in an older model.
And this is simply because the new car smell is actually a mix of chemicals used during the manufacturing of various interior parts, such as the door panels or the dashboard. And of course, the older the car, the bigger the chances for the new car smell to disappear, as the volatile compounds that generate the odor fade away after a while.

And yet, this 1993 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 pace car still “smells like new,” the owner guarantees in an attempt to emphasize just how good the interior of the vehicle looks. This Camaro is being auctioned off on eBay, and it’s just one of 645 units that were manufactured by Chevrolet as replicas for the original Indy pace car.

This model right here, however, is actually a barn find, and the seller says it was discovered in Linden, California where it was parked by the original owner who purchased the Camaro from Stockton, California. The pace car replica has been sitting since 2000 when the owner passed away.

The Camaro comes in the barn find condition, and everything is believed to be 100 percent original, except for the tires which have already been replaced because they were flat and cracked.

Other than that, this is a Camaro pace car replica in tip-top shape, and the only thing you’d have to do should you purchase it is to remove that small dirt stain on the driver seat.

As for the engine, this is something that you need to have a look at in person, as the seller says they haven’t tried to turn it on because it still has 20-year-old gas in it. This means a thorough cleaning is required before everything else.

This super-rare Camaro pace car is getting a lot of love on eBay, as it has already received 48 bids. The highest, however, is currently at $11,400.
