Irvine-based Immotor startup is proposing us a very interesting personal transportation device which is only steps away from becoming a reality. Meet the Immotor GO; the foldable intelligent electric scooter.
The Immotor GO is a perfect example of form meets function design as it was specially engineered to be a personal scooter you can fold and carry away when not needed. Why? Because of the infamous 2-mile average distance between a person’s home and an important public transportation line which always tempts people to drive their cars instead.

With its unique portability, the Immotor GO can be folded and unfolded in a few seconds so you can take it with you on the bus, tram or even a taxi. And unlike other scooters of its kind, this one doesn’t require balance skills as it has three wheels. Anyone can step on it and be ready to go in seconds.

Thanks to its 3 pre-programmed speed modes, you can navigate very slowly through the crowds or keep up with a fast bicycle rider on the streets. It can go as fast as 20 mph (32 km/h) for as long as 20 miles on a single charge.

The easily removable Super Battery modules allow for quick exchange, safe storage and multi-functional use as a stand alone power station. This provides instant recharge, virtually unlimited power, and even use as an AC Plug or Light with the optional accessories.

The batteries even come with their own Operating System that creates a digital handshake between device and battery. When power is not needed, the battery will remain inert and completely safe.

Controlling the electric scooter is very easy as it has only a few buttons and switches. There’s also an LCD display that can be used without taking your hands off the handlebars. The screen shows information about battery levels, speed, distance and other useful things. You can even connect a smartphone to it via Bluetooth and steam music to an external speaker.

The scooter came up on Indiegogo where it has already been backed up by 135 people, summing up to 162% out of the initial goal. There’s only one month left until the company gets the money and we just hope this won’t turn out into a fiasco, just like SKULLY did a while ago.

And did I mentioned this scooter is also less expensive than the ones on the market now? With some easily surpassing the $1,000 mark, the standard Immotor GO is said to cost only $749.
