This SLS AMG Black Series Sounds Like a Robotic Axe Murderer

Despite the fact that the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG is getting retired in just a couple of months from now, the modern Gullwing will forever remain as a true automotive piece of art in modern Mercedes-Benz history.
From all the variants, it is probably the SLS AMG Black Series that left the biggest mark – quite literally, if you like – as the model's looks, performance and last but not least, exhaust sound, will haunt the dreams of a good amount of people from now on.

Powered by a naturally-aspirated 6.2-liter V8 that seems to have been forged in the fires of hell itself, the Black Series variant of the SLS AMG is pretty much a super sportscar with a heavy dose of racing DNA implanted in it.

The 631 hp and 635 Nm (468 lb ft) of torque squeezed from the latest and final evolution of the legendary M159 engine make their best impression while being screamed by the quad exhaust exits at the rear, but the stock model is nothing compared with the roar of the red SLS AMG Black Series with Weistec parts from the short video below.

The model has been apparently de-catted, and fitted with long tube headers by the Mercedes-Benz tuning specialists from Weistec Engineering, who also upgraded the M159 6.2-liter with proprietary air filters and a bespoke ECU.

The eye-watering red vinyl wrap was done by the professionals from GT Auto Concepts, so now the car is screaming its lungs out even when standing still and with its glorious V8 engine turned off.

By far the most impressive feature of this tuned SLS AMG Black Series is its frightening exhaust sound though, a fact which is well known by the driver/owner of the car if we are to base our opinion just on the footage below. Turn up your speaker volume and click play!
