Chevrolet built over 235,000 Camaros in 1968, and out of this entire output, the base model accounted for more than 159,000 units.
Needless to say, the Z28 was the rarest model for the year, as the GM brand manufactured close to 7,200 such Camaros.

The one you see here can barely be called a car, however, though it pretty much depends on the viewing angle that you use when inspecting it.

Originally an Oklahoma car, this 1968 Camaro is now listed for sale on eBay, with the owner hoping someone would find it useful for a potential restoration project. As you can all see in the photos included in the gallery here, the once-a-V8 Camaro has a major rust problem, so one of the first things the buyer would have to deal with is find a way to fix the huge holes pretty much everywhere.

Not to mention it’s lacking nearly its entire front, so if you were hoping to at least get the engine, that’s not going to happen this time.

On the other hand, the owner guarantees you’re getting solid frame rails and a few other parts. Still, it’s pretty clear from the very beginning that whoever buys it will have a lot of work to do before actually starting a more thorough restoration project.

So how much is such a “car” worth given its condition? The owner, who says the Camaro is “parked” in Hudson, Florida, expects to receive $4,100 for it, though worth emphasizing is the car isn’t listed for auction but comes with a fixed price.

The good news is the 1968 Camaro can be worth quite a small fortune with the right fixes and improvements. This model we highlighted not a long time ago, and which started as an SS and ended up as a well-done restomod, was posted online with a $129,000 selling price.
