It might look like everybody’s getting more and more materialistic like opulence is the new black, but we’re here to prove you wrong. Believe it or not there’s actually a small but growing younger demographic moving towards living with less. Yes, we’re going to say it: less is more. Take this 40 square meter (430 square foot) castle built on a three level truck that is even street legal. Disneyland? No, just New Zealand.
Since the imposing entrance of the house looks just like the wooden doors of a medieval castle, it’s safe to call it the Castle Truck home. We’re apparently looking at an engineering masterpiece that combines both great designs, practical spacing, and utility. When the vehicle is on the road, it almost feels like a regular truck. In fact, if it weren’t for the two turrets on the back, you wouldn’t tell.

As we said, the couple who created the car from the ground up used every inch, which makes it compact and tidy. According to Living Big in Tiny House, the roof retracts, the sides of the walls fold in, the turrets rotate inwards, and it’s ready to go.

As to the castle's look, we’re not sure that was the only reason, but the fact Justin and Jola are living in it with their son Piko sure has something to do with it.

In case you haven’t yet heard, the tiny house trend comes with the proper eco-conscious feature. This means most of the people living on the road this way will most likely try to keep things as environmentally sustainable as possible. In the Kiwis’ case, we’re talking about the whole package. The truck is solar powered, it heats water through a mixture of solar panels on the roof, a wetback fire, and gas, and it captures rainwater from the roof that is then stored in water tanks below the truck.

The story goes on for a while, but what truly stands as impressive is the interior. We’re not planning to spoil it for you, so without further ado, enjoy!
