This Purple 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon Never Came Out of Protective Plastic

Construction magnate Eddie Vannoy loves cars, especially muscle cars, be they classics or newer models. He loves them so much that he’s spent the past 50 years building a gorgeous, enviable collection comprising more than 80 items.

The Vannoy Collection will be going on sale this year. Mecum Auctions initially announced an auction for June this year, but as of the time of writing, the event has been postponed to a still-unannounced date.

However, all listed items are available for viewing – and they are a genuine treat for the eye. As much as Vannoy loves cars, he never loved them enough to drive them, or so it seems. Many of the items have barely been taken out, and this includes a 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon, which has a mere 12 miles on the clock.

This Demon is actually so new that it never even came out of the protective plastic that covers its interior. It is listed as a no reserve and it’s one of the stars of the Vannoy Collection. The collection also includes motorcycles, bicycles, memorabilia and dozens of classic and modern models from Dodge, Ford, Chevrolet, Buick, both originals and restomods.

The Demon comes in Plum Crazy paint over a black interior with Laguna Alcantara seats (with the front seats heated and ventilated), dual zone climate control and premium auto with Apple CarPlay and Sirius XM. It has the three SRT drive modes (Drag, Street and Sport), drag mode suspension, rear back-up camera and power sunroof.

The 6.2-liter HP Hemi supercharged V8 produces a maximum of 840 hp and 717 lb-ft (972 Nm) of torque. The Demon is offered with the Demon crate package.

“If ever a factory muscle car exceeded expectations, it’s the Challenger SRT Demon offered here from the Vannoy Collection,” Mecum says in the listing.

With the original sell date postponed, you still have some time left to save up for it.
