As Porsches continue to grow in popularity, we get to see all kind of complex builds (hey, it's not just the carmaker who mixes the parts bin to relase new specials). And the one sitting before us is simply amazing. To put it simply, this is a 914 gone 935.
While others spend their time on the web, complaining about how the 914 should've received the VW badge instead of the Porsche crest, the owner of this one decided to turn his into one hell of a project car.
First up, that 935 connection - with those angular, air-hungry intakes up front, which also hold LED strips, the connection to the 2019 Porsche 935 is obvious.
The nod to the reborn racecar is continued on the side, where the most prominent elements are the air intakes just ahead of the rear wheels.
And when this 914, which, by the way, is on Arizona plates, passes you, the open lower posterior once again talks about the 911 GT2 RS-based motorsport toy mentioned above.
Remember how Porsche finally added a flat-six to the four-cylinder 914 and created the 914-6? Well, the delicious contraption we have here is nicknamed the 914-8. And that's because its middle section now accommodates a carburetted Chevy V8.
And while the shiny wheels (18-inch BBS units), with their fat lips, draw attention, you should know that, for instance, the rear axle sees the rims being wrapped in fat 335-section Toyo R888s.
Trevor Ott is the name of the aficionado who runs this build and in case you're wondering what the man does when he's not playing with his Porscha, it looks like he's in the army, at least judging by his Instagram account.
Speaking of Porsche owners who give their machines a bit of 935 makeover, here's Longtail conversion kit for the 991.2 911 GT2 RS, which serves the said purpose.

On to the tech side
