It was 2005 when the amazing slab of America that is this Plymouth Superbird was locked inside a barn. And while it took some fifteen years for the muscle hero to regain its freedom, the big-winged monster has recently left the building.
The Superbird was grabbed by an aficionado who describes himself as "an addict for late 60s early 70s muscle cars especially Mopars". And, as you'll notice in the second and the third social media posts below, which come from the said gearhead, the Plymouth now gets its fair share of fresh air.

What set this puppy apart from many barn finds is that it spent its time in good conditions, so it was mostly in decent shape when it was picked up.

Of course, the said car lover gave the machine all the love and attention it required, from addressing various mechanical bits, like the springs, to giving it a thorough detailing. So not only does the thing run great, but its unique badges now shine inside and out, which makes for the icing on this cake.

Sure, the said automotive fanatic is currently enjoying the charms of this NASCAR history piece (here's more info on how this sister car to the Dodge Charger Daytona was born, albeit with the story packing a post-modern twist).

Nevertheless, we're talking about an aficionado who rescues, restores and sales such machines. And while the man has yet to mention anything about wishing to find a new home for the Superbird, we might just see the thing trading hands in the future. Of course, if you happen to be interested, your budget should be pretty solid.

Meanwhile, make sure to check out the video below, which delivers what can be labeled as a decent soundcheck (you know what to do with that volume button, don't you?).
