The gaming world has evolved a lot lately in terms of graphics and the immersive experience they can offer, and if you still needed a living proof in this regard, here’s a simple screenshot from Forza Horizon 4.
As unbelievable as that may sound, the Ford Mustang Hoonicorn that you see here isn’t a CGI but actually a screen capture from FH4, obviously with a series of edits for better colors, contrast, and other effects.
One of the things that must be mentioned from the very beginning is that the flames that you see coming out of the engine are actually added in Photoshop, but everything else is pure Forza Horizon 4 with edits made in a series of apps like Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop Express, Snapseed, and others.
Created by gamer and Instagram user nickel_nitro as part of this week’s in-game photo challenge, the wallpaper-quality photo shows the Hoonigan Ford Mustang Hoonicorn that gamers can drive in Forza Horizon 4 and based on the real model originally announced at the 2014 SEMA show.
The drift FH4 car, which is essentially an upgraded 1965 Ford Mustang GT Coupe, no longer uses the standard Hoonicorn Mustang engine installed on the SEMA car, but a 6.7-liter twin-turbo V8 unit developing 1,400 horsepower. The turbo system was developed by RTR and helps the Mustang go from 0 to 97 km/h (60 mph) in o less than 1.8 seconds.
The maximum speed is 255 mph (410 km/h), so it’s obviously one of the most popular choices in Forza Horizon 4, especially as these performance figures make it the FH4 model with the fastest 0-100 time.
The Hoonigan Ford Mustang Hoonicorn originally debuted in Forza Horizon 3 and Forza Motorsport 7 as part of the add-ons released for the two games, but in Forza Horizon 4 it’s offered as standard without the need for installing any extra.
