This Parmigiani Fleurier Watch Goes with Your Bugatti Chiron

Petrolheads who aren't that much into watches may still be familiar with the Swiss from Parmigiani Fleurier, and that is thanks to a couple of ultra luxury watches that the company created for the ultra-luxury Bugatti Veyron over the last decade or so.

Just weeks after the Bugatti Chiron went official, Parmigiani Fleurier has unveiled yet another exotic wristwatch, only this time it's currently just a concept and its price would probably be in the millions if it ever went on sale.

Called the PF-Bugatti 390, the timepiece is built around an “engine” that looks like a small cylinder, which converts the movement energy through a transmission to the horizontal watch face. As you can see in one of the adjacent images, it looks about as complicated as the Chiron's 16-cylinder engine.

In case you've been living under an Internet rock until today, the Bugatti Chiron is the Veyron's replacement, and is powered by an evolution of its gargantuan powerplant. Thanks to a quad-turbocharged, 8.0-liter W16 that delivers 1,500 hp and 1,600 Nm (1,180 lb-ft) of torque, the all-wheel-drive hypercar can hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in 2.4 seconds.

Its top speed dwarfs the Veyron's and is electronically limited to 420 km/h (261 mph), not to mention that a 270 mph world record attempt is apparently in the works in the upcoming months. At those speeds, it would probably be best not to keep an eye on your watch, even though the production version of the PF-Bugatti 390 should never be out of your sight after you shell hundreds of thousand of $ for one.

Speaking of which, there is no word on pricing just yet, but it should be noted that Parmigiani Fleurier's and Bugatti's latest joint-marketed wristwatch went for a cool $430,000. The Type 390 may fetch even more than that considering that the Chiron costs approximately twice than the original Veyron.
