It was 2013 when Pagani announced the Zonda production would end. However, four years later, the "standard" Huayra Coupe may have gone out of production, but the Zonda is alive and kicking.
The presence of the Zonda obviously brings great joy and the San Cesario sul Panaro automaker has recently introduced yet another incarnation of the naturally aspirated delight. We're talking about the Zonda HP Barchetta, which landed late last month.
Pagani explained it went back to the drawing board for the HP Barchetta, which means the thing is more than just a spiced-up edition of the hypercar.
As such, the automotive producer is only bringing three examples of the bewildering machine to the world. The first, which we saw back in August, is going straight into Horacio Pagani's collection and we can now take at one of the other two cars.
The bearer of the AMG naturally-aspirated 7.3-liter V12 showed up on Instagram and the social media introduction is more than just a way to showcase the thing.
That's because the owner of the car wants a nickname for the lightweight velocity machine (keep in mind that the contraption sits at under 2,755 lbs).
Those of you who have spent enough time on the automotive side of Instagram will recognize the color scheme seen here. That's because gregb.23, the collector who will enjoy the charms of the HP Barchetta, has a thing for green hypercars.
In fact, we recently talked about the aficionado's Ferrari F12 Tour De France, which borrows the green and orange hue scheme seen on his... Pagani Huayra BC.
We're just as curious as you when it comes to the price tag of such a machine. However, Pagani hasn't announced the financial side of the Zonda HP Barchetta, while the unofficial reports seems a bit hard to swallow (think: $15 million).
