If Darth Vader were a motorcycle, it would probably be this.
Over the years, we’ve witnessed plenty of Ducati 900SS-based undertakings from workshops worldwide. It goes without saying the SuperSport is one of Bologna’s most popular donors for enterprises seeking to create a one-off masterpiece. The creation we’ll be admiring today revolves around a 1992 model from Ducati’s glorious lineup.

Within its frame, the MY1992 SuperSport comes equipped with an air-cooled SOHC L-twin mill that boasts a generous displacement of 904cc. At 7,000 revs, this bad boy is fully capable of producing up to 84 ponies, while a wild toque output of 62 pound-feet (84 Nm) will be supplied at about 6,400 rpm.

A six-speed transmission is tasked with channeling the engine’s force to the rear wheel by means of a chain final drive. Ultimately, this whole ordeal leads to a healthy top speed of no less than 132 mph (213 kph). All things considered, this remarkable piece of Italian machinery is a force to be reckoned with in stock form.

Now, let’s take a second to examine what a lesser-known German workshop named Cafe2Ride managed to accomplish on this beast, shall we? As soon as the bike was stripped naked of its fairings, Germany’s motorcycle masters went about treating the 904cc L-twin to a custom exhaust system that manages to look seriously rad, as well as retuned carbs and a pair of K&N air filters to help it breathe a little more freely.

Since the original frame was damaged, the crew proceeded to outsource a fresh replacement, which has been enveloped in an ominous black finish. At the rear, the craftspeople applied a bespoke tail section and a slim seat pan supporting a new single-seater saddle. Furthermore, the entire thing was rewired to keep things looking neat, while the stock gauge cluster was discarded to make way for a tiny speedometer and a set of LED warning lights.

After installing a one-off front fender and license plate holder, the team wrapped things up by honoring the 900SS with a handsome paint scheme that blends satin with gloss black, along with a couple of silver patches on the gas tank. Needless to say, the final result speaks for itself!
