Air purifiers are slowly but surely becoming a must-have part of our tech arsenals for obvious reasons. Using one in the car has a series of major benefits given the nightmare traffic we must deal with on a daily basis.
This is why Scosche has decided to invest in the development of an air purifier specifically aimed at cars, and the company took to CES this month to unveil such a device.
Called FrescheAir Portable HEPA Air Purifier/Deodorizer, this new product does exactly what its name suggests. It’s a portable air purifier powered through a USB connection and using HEPA filters to clean the air in your car. It has a design specifically created to fit a cup holder in the vehicle and comes with motion-activated sensors to automatically start when you step inside.
In other words, you can just install it in your car and forget it’s there, as the purifier would just start when you get behind the wheel and then stop all by itself when you leave the vehicle. The only thing you need to do is to replace the HEPA filter, and the parent company says this is a recommended operation every four to six months, with extra filters available on its website.
A display is mounted at the top to indicate essential data like the air quality inside the car, the temperature, and the humidity, all of which are critical for keeping the cabin clean and fresh.
The device is effective against dust and allergens, and the box includes not only the air purifier itself but also one replaceable HEPA filter plus a dual 12W USB car charger and charging cable to power it. Of course, it can also be used in small rooms by simply plugging in the USB cable to a wall charger.
