This Might Be the Only Lapis Lazuli Lexus LFA In the World

For the uninitiated, Lapis Lazuli is a deep blue semi-precious mineral known since antiquity when it was first mined in Afghanistan as early as the 7th millennium BC. Since it looks pretty awesome when polished, the stone has been used to create nice jewelry items, pottery and its pigment was also used in oil paints until the 19th century.

Nowadays however, the pigment for this interesting blue shade can be synthesized to paint anything you want. For example, another gem of the automotive industry – the Lexus LFA.

While the lapis shade can be found on many of the normal road going cars, supercars are not known to look that exciting in it, but a proud client from Texas decided to give it a try and ordered his Lexus LFA in Lapis Lazuli.

Surprisingly, the No.265 LFA looks astonishing in this deep color and in fact it might be the only one in the world to have been painted like this. The exterior color is also complimented by blue interior stitching and trimmings while a bit of a contrast is made by using yellow brake calipers mounted behind Dark Premium Metallic rims. Certainly looks better than the normal white or silver one everyone has.
