This Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Van Is a Mobile Taj Mahal

What do sheiks, sultans and other filthy rich Middle East figures do when they get bored of their extravagant villas, lavish palaces and sumptuous supercars? Well, they call Carlex and enjoy maximum privacy and luxury when traveling from point A to point B.

Curious to know how could one fit the Taj Mahal into a Mercedes-Benz van? Well, it can be done: the Carlex way. It involves a lot of work, especially on the inside of the car, but with the help of a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van, we’re looking at an achievable goal.

We all know Carlex and their skills in customizing sports cars interiors, right? What we didn’t know was how good they are when it comes to transforming the hard-working Mercedes-Benz Sprinter into a mobile chamber of opulence.

We’ll skip the exterior after mentioning that changes only come as custom wheels, black-tinted windows and a new body kit that will get everybody wondering what’s going on inside.

Lucky for you, we’ve got the answer for that. The cabin is where the magic happens and boy, Carlex did use all their tricks to pull this off. There’s high quality leather everywhere but wood, aluminum and polished steel were generously used to add the finishing touches on this four-wheeled temple of prosperity.

In the back, Carlex Design fitted the van with four royal seats where passengers will be able to enjoy the independent air conditioning system, the electrically controlled blinds and the aircraft-style folding tray tables. There’s also LED lighting in the cabin, a large TV and an Audiophile multimedia system.

Since we were speaking of castles and palaces earlier, here’s proof that we did not made anything up: Carlex installed 1.25 inch (31.8 mm) thick woolen carpets in the cabin. Now how twisted is that?
