Who said you need a good reason to release a video? When you’ve gathered so much great action footage over the course of a very busy year, putting it all into a short clip has the same function as a blow-off valve.
And, indeed, Mercedes-AMG has had a lot of work to do this year, but it was the kind of work you actually enjoy. For one thing, their Formula One team - the MERCEDES-AMG PETRONAS - has won the Constructors Championship title for the second time in a row and, what do you know, Lewis Hamilton mimicked the same performance in the Drivers Championship.

So it’s safe to say they’ve got the Formula One bit covered. What about other fields? Well, they’re not doing that bad in DTM either, even though they’re not dominating quite as hard. Still, two of the three available titles were claimed by a Mercedes-AMG team and a Mercedes-AMG driver, and yet, the overall constructors title somehow slipped away.

But there are plenty of road-going reasons to celebrate as well. The new C-Class Coupe got its AMG version, and it has to be one of the greatest looking cars Mercedes has produced in a while. The S-Class Cabriolet was also launched in 2015, bringing back to life a special breed of Mercedes-Benz cars that couldn’t have gone without an AMG version as well.

And then there are those models that aren’t necessarily new but you can never get tired of. It’s not by chance that one of the first cars you’ll see in this clip is the Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6x6, one of the most bizarre and yet exciting production models the world has seen lately. But if there’s one car that’s been summing up everything great about AMG, then it has to be last year’s GT sports car. Don’t worry, it’s there in the video as well. Just click play and make sure the sound is turned on.
