Damen Yachting has revealed the design of its new superyacht, and we’re not disappointed one bit. The 345 feet (150 m) SeaXplorer has enough space for two helicopters, a tennis court, and a submarine. It is an expedition yacht that combines luxury with adventure.
Described as being at the top of the SeaXplorer designs, the SeaXplorer 150 is the largest one from the range. With a 20,312 square feet (1,887 square meters) interior, it has plenty of room to accommodate up to 65 people, including the crew. Did I mention that the inside can be fully customizable?
As for the exterior, from the naval architecture to the luxurious outdoor space the layout is already planned by the in-house design team Azure Yacht Design.
“The SeaXplorer 105 is a fully developed design. However, the scope for client customisation is massive – that’s a key part of our proposition throughout the design process.”, said SeaXplorer design manager Enrique Tintores.
The expedition yacht is packed with some action toys such as snowmobiles, kayaks, five large tenders, and a chase boat that measures up to 43 feet (13 meters). The SeaXplorer also carries a twin helideck and a weathertight below-deck hangar for two aircraft with a hydraulic lift system.
If the air goodies are not enough, rest assured, it also has an onboard scuba dive deck and a watersports center. There’s also a submarine waiting to explore the ocean.
Plus, it comes with plenty of outdoor room for an open-space cinema, a tennis court, a lounge room, and a party area that can be filled with up to 200 guests.
The superyacht offers a 270-degree panoramic view from its 1,324 square feet (123 square meters) observation lounge. Among other luxe amenities, there is a wellness space, a spa, an indoor swimming pool, a gym, a sauna, and a steam room.
In terms of power, the SeaXplorer has a hybrid diesel-electric propulsion with azimuthing thrusters and a retractable stabilizer fin. This system gives the vessel enough energy to travel at a maximum speed of 14 knots and cover 6,000 nautic miles.
This new design takes a lot from the SeaXplorer 77 that was recently updated, thus we can only expect that bigger means more luxury and more fun for the future 345 feet (150 m) model.
