This Lamborghini Has an Offensive License Plate, But You Can’t See It

It took the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles three years to figure it out, but they did eventually ask this Lamborghini owner to change the vehicle’s license plate. Even though the driver says not even his friends can figure out what it spells, authorities claim it’s an offense, and it has to be changed in 30 days time.

Yes, but what does it say, really? “370H55V” that’s precisely what the number reads, which means nothing. It’s only when you turn it upside down, when things get offensive.

I had it for more than three years without any problem,” Safer Hassan said, according to Click2houston. The man was recently announced his Texas, Huston license plate will be canceled within 30 days.

It appears that the Texas DMV letter hints to a similar plate that was recently reviewed and rejected. Hassan believes it was what triggered the local authorities to search for other similar cases in their data bank in the first place. So the Lamborghini owner has now decided to appeal the state’s decision.

It’s not the first time we see people trying to act all clever with their license plates. In fact, this peculiar incident in Huston just reminded us of E.L James and the author’s VW Touareg. The 50 Shades of Grey writer was seen driving a regular SUV that did stand out big time. It was not because of its luxurious features though, rather for those license plates that read “SXY”.

As opposed to the Lamborghini owner, authorities in London didn’t find E.L. James' in any way offensive. So here we are wondering if it’s because of the car, the celebrity factor, or the different mentality.
