Restomodding a car isn’t only about the money spent on the build. It’s a four-wheeled expression of the individual, a labor of love if you will. In and of itself, the Chevrolet 210 is anything but that unless we’re talking about this particular example of the breed which is listed at $194,500.
When it was new, the Two-Ten couldn’t do better than a 283 small-block V8 with 283 horsepower on tap thanks to Rochester Ram-Jet fuel injection. The 1955 model before your eyes levels up to a pro-built LS1 from Street & Performance, an engine that churns out 350 horsepower from the factory in the fifth-gen Corvette.

While on the subject of suck-squeeze-bang-blow, take a minute to admire that engine compartment. Everything from the color-keyed covers to the chromed brake booster is spotless, and the same can be said about the undercarriage. Under the skin of this 210, you’ll find a 9.0-inch rear end with 3.73 posi gears as well as RideTech HQ Series adjustable shock absorbers.

Predominantly finished in Kiwi Green, the two-door coupe adds visual spice with Champagne paint for the rear fenders, trunk lid, and sloping roof. Behind the five-spoke chromed wheels, you’ll also notice a set of Wilwood brake calipers joined by slotted and drilled rotors. “A frame-off restoration that took 6 years to build,” this gorgeous car combines a four-speed box with a billet-aluminum shifter.

The 4L60-E is tough enough to withstand most LS-engined projects, be it a car or a truck. The electronically-commanded evolution of the Turbo-Hydramatic 700R4 handles 360 pound-feet of torque from the factory, so yeah, it’s safe to assume that smoking the tires in a burnout won’t translate to a blown transmission.

Last, but certainly not least, the interior is bite-the-back-of-your-hand beautiful without going overboard with the garnish. The front buckets are sourced from a Monte Carlo, both the front and rear occupants are treated to cup holders, and Kenwood sweetens the deal with Bluetooth connectivity for your iPhone or Android.

The question is, do you think this one-of-none 210 is worth the asking price?
