Remember those cartoons where kids would have a devil on one shoulder and an angel on the other, both trying to convince the youngster to go their way? Well, this wagon has them both; the mild toy envisioned as a wagon parents pull, and the steerable go-kart it can also turn into.
The story of the people creating these toys is quite inspiring and is one of those family tales you almost can’t believe are real. It revolves around Rich and Jen and their two kids, a family of Kiwis who moved to New York ten years ago. The change was quite significant considering Rich is from a small town in rural New Zealand, but that’s also how Whisborne, the company making these toys, was born.

The first Wishbone Bike was born out of wanting to give the kids a taste of the childhood we had. You see, when we were little, the grass was long, the air was fresh and the folks weren’t always watching,” they detail their story. And the wagon in question can’t make a better childhood toy; us petrolheads, totally understand that part.

Man did we wish we could change that box other kids would pull us in from simple wagon to a go-kart. Just imagine, turning a classic toy into a kid’s car, that’s just perfect. With a low center of gravity and air-filled tires for a smooth and durable ride, the wagon is an adaptable piece of toy.

The hand comes in three positions, whether you steer from the front, push at the back or stow and race. At the other end, the steering wheel also comes in two positions, click to steer or stow for space. And if all these are not enough, your kid can always turn it into Flinstones mode, considering the floor hatch is hinged.
