At 299,990 euros including value-added tax, this Juke is apparently overpriced. However, you’re actually looking at the body shell of the Juke instead of the real deal. Underneath the carbon fiber and sheet metal, a GT-R is hiding with no fewer than 700 PS or 690 horsepower on tap.
Severn Valley Motorsport is the company responsible for this fellow here, one of five ever built and a different animal from the Nissan Juke-R. The British tuner is also known for building the fastest Qashqai in the world – the SVM Qashqai-R that tops 237.8 miles per hour (382.7 kph).
Offered for sale by VDM Cars, the SVM 700R Juke-R #005 shows only 20 kilometers (12 miles) on the odometer since 2019. Converting the R35 into this fellow here starts by hacking off 150 millimeters (5.9 inches) from the floor of the GT-R. Built by Severn Valley Motorsport with the automaker’s blessing, the uber crossover also happens to be unique.
Of the five examples of the breed, two were crashed and two belong to Nissan. In other words, the SVM 700R in the photo gallery is the only one you can get right now. Considering that it’s more extreme than Nissan’s own Juke-R, the two-seat crossover is all the more special.
Fitted with an integral roll cage and modified prop shafts, the car also features 1,050 cc injectors, cast front downpipes, a 76-millimeter air intake system, a custom exhaust system, and the dual-clutch transmission from the GT-R. Brembo brake calipers and discs are complemented by Bridgestone run-flat tires that measure 225/40 and 285/35 by 20 inches.
Having mentioned carbon fiber a little earlier, it’s high time to point out which parts are made from the composite material. The hood is the most obvious upgrade, followed by the wheel arch extensions, front and rear bumpers, aerodynamic diffuser, spoiler, and rocker panels.
Also worthy of note, the suspension isn’t stock. As opposed to what came from the factory, SVM fitted three-way adjustable coilovers plus adjustable drop links, front and rear roll bars, and top camber arms. The finishing touch? That would be the track-focused suspension setup.
