Do you know how some guys eat 5,000 calories to bulk up but never do dieting and cardio after? Yeah, that's what the new Lumma CLR RE, based on the Range Rover Evoque, looks like - a short bodybuilder with no muscle tone.
When Land Rover designed this second-generation model, they tried to keep the boat steady: It looks just like the old model, but with features, people liked from other Range Rovers, such as the door handles and taillights of the Velar. And like most Range Rovers, it's now a super-smooth car and the Lumma Design body kit kind of clashes with that.

With no place on the body to draw your attention, you immediately become focused on how disproportionately huge those fenders look, and that's coming from a website that shares widebody kits all day. Lumma claims that the package looks masculine, and they're right, but we wouldn't go as far as to say that it brings "extra class with the individualization of a premium SUV."

The extensions to the stock body add 45mm on each side. That's 90mm in total. The lower part of the Evoque is covered in other boxy aero elements, including a diffuser at the back. The whole thing looks like the plinth a statue rests on. As for the piece of art itself, it represents something contemporary, like a Stormtrooper's helmet or Thanos' head if he was an albino.

On top of the Lumma’s €8,270 body kit, this particular model has also been equipped with 22-inch multi-spoke wheels. You can't miss the lower suspension, which makes the once capable Evoque a useless off-roader. The company says interior mods like new leather, carpets and aluminum trim are available as well.

The Evoque comes mostly with 2-liter engines ranging from 150 to 300 horsepower. A few of the most popular ones are sure to get power increases from the same tuner, probably by the time of Geneva 2020.
