When Suzuki DR650 comes into discussion, the term "brutal" is definitely not the first one to come to mind. However, if such a bike falls in the right hands, the result of some creative custom work will be surprising, to say the least.
It's the case of the French Blitz Motorcycles and their "Street Dracker": a '94 DR650 brought in by its owner who wanted something completely different. So after stripping the bike, Blitz cut the frame and shortened it by a hefty 15" (35 cm), adding a new subframe with an included electrical box to house all the components otherwise scattered around the old bike. This has cleared up the rear of the bike and made everything look neat and tidy.

A complete engine rebuild was needed as the bike had not been started in quite a long time. Carb have been re-tuned for the K&N pod, a custom stainless steel exhaust pipe was added and at its end we can now find a SuperTrapp silencer.

Vintage Triumph handlebars were fitted and a GT125 tank replaced the stock one, while the rear shock was upgraded for better steering. As Blitz says, the bike now feels like a bullet. We'd add that it looks like a million bucks, too. Spotted by Pipeburn.
