This Is the Craziest DIY Snowplow You’ll See

Got some guardrail, a few wood planks and a ton of strings laying around in the garage? Don’t just throw them away because you can build yourself a cheap snowplow. This Canadian here did one and we have a hunch the man will have no problem surviving a zombie apocalypse. His crafting skills are over 9000!

Guess how many of us could have found a way building such a thing using these common items people usually throw away when they move out. As his Youtube account shows, Mr. Dan Comeau appears to have a thing for home made snowplows and he’s actually very good at it as he uses a lot of other household items to build other models.

To make the one you’ll see in the video here, you’ll need a used ’96 Dodge Caravan or something equivalent acting as the hitch vehicle, an old bench-press, a short 2”x2”, a t-bar from a sign, a $20 strap, 2 tin roof sheets, some old planks, a 2”x3”, a couple of 2”x4”, whatever screws and washers you find around, threaded rods, a car jack, a lot of rope and a seatbelt.

There is no tutorial available at the moment, but you could manage building one just by having a look at how Dan made it here. Oh, don’t forget the electric screwdriver to power-lift or lower the plow from the comfort of the driver’s seat.

The only problem is the fact you’ll have to train your reverse driving skills a bit.
