For some people, power and straight-on performance is all they are looking for in a car. On the other hand, for others, it’s all about the looks of the thing and not a thrilling driving experience. To each his own, we always say!
That’s how you end up with cars like the one below, that has a rare color on the outside. It’s called Matte Atlantis Blue, it’s the first time we’ve seen it and we’re completely sold!
By the looks of things, the owner saved himself quite a great deal of money by wrapping his car instead of having it painted by BMW. If he’d gone for the second alternative, the price tag for it would’ve skyrocketed, probably well beyond $5,000.
However, that’s not the only thing that changed this car’s appearance. A set of BMW F10 M5 style wheels were installed as well alongside a new carbon fiber front lip and rear diffuser.
Since you can’t talk about a BMW and not mention the specs, you should know that under the bonnet lies a 3-liter turbocharged petrol engine that used to make 306 HP and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque in its standard application.
That’s no longer the case as it received a JB4 ECU tune, 3.5” (9 cm) catless downpipes, an Eisenmann Performance Exhaust System and Injen SP Series Intake system. For better handling, a KW V3 coilover system was added alongside a StopTech Sport Brake upgrade kit.
An interesting detail also happened to catch our eye as we were looking at the photo gallery. Apparently, this BMW hails all the way from China, judging by the license plates, hailing from Liaoning. Since the tuning was done all the way over in California, at the European Auto Source garage, the owner must really love this ride to invest so much in it.
