Touristenfahrten...  This magical word signifies joy itself, as it describes the Nurburgring tourist track days. We are here now to show you how these tourists get it sideways on the ‘Ring and we’ve got a video for this.
The adjacent clip shows quite a few cars drifting on the Nurburgring and the activity is actually less dangerous than it seems. The corner shown here is one of the best for car spotters, so this is where we usually see all those nasty Nurburgring crashes.

However, those occur due to oversteer and/ or understeer that’s usually caused by overenthusiastic entry speeds. Well, when people aim to drift, they know things could always go wrong, so they tend to be more cautious with their entry speed.

Of course, these aren’t drifting cars and the drivers would like to have them in one piece, so don’t expect extreme slip angles. However, some of the drivers managed to pull pretty nice stunts.

As you may have expected, almost all the cars drifting here are BMWs, but there’s also a Nissan Silvia S14.
