As we saw earlier last month, Lexus is working on a coupe model based on the 2014 IS sport sedan. If it will actually replace the IS F or it will be a standalone model will remain to discuss, as the automaker was shy on details.
All we know is that it could be known as the RC model. Word has it that the standard version will be powered by the same 3.5-liter V6 engine found on the actual IS model, while the hardcore F version may get a 5-liter V8 with around 460 hp.
In design maters, the spyshots we showed you earlier suggest that the Lexus RC will be inspired by the same cues as the IS model - large spindle grille and angled headlights up front with downswept taillights and trapezoidal shapes at the back.
However, if it’s hard for you guys to “see through” the camouflage in the spyshots, the guys over at TopSpeed rendered the coupe without the disorienting wrap, which you can see above. They did a very good job, so don’t forget to see the high res picture bellow, to have a closer inspection of the upcoming Lexus coupe sportscar.
