The BMW E36 M3 GTR was actually a racing car with license plates. It was the road-going version of the car built to compete in the 1994 ADAC German GT Cup Touring Car Series.
The GTR M3 had a deeper, adjustable front spoiler with corner splitters, higher rear double wing, aluminum doors, forged BMW M wheels, stiffer suspension at the front, x-brace and strut brace. The engine had a raised compression ratio and some more engine changes that turned up the total output of the car to 322 HP out of the 3.2-liter unit.
Today these models are extremely rare and seeing one in a competition is slowly becoming an almost unique event. That's why we decided to share this video we found on Youtube with you.
It features a E36 M3 GTR driven by Luka Marko Grošelj at the GHD / Bergrennen / HillClimb Lu ine event in 2012. The Lu ine HillClimb event is hosted annually in the Slovakian country and is part of the FIA European HillClimb Cup circuit.
