Starting this fall, the Karma nameplate lives once more. Following in the steps of the ill-fated Fisker Karma, a car called Revero GT hopes to bring about success for the new owners. And if anything, the car looks like it’s worth it.
Based in California and owned by the Chinese, the new Karma Automotive is planning to relaunch itself at the top of the sales charts. To do that, it revealed at the Shanghai Auto Show in April the Revero GT, and this week followed up on that with the release of additional photos.

In fact just a re-engineered Fisker Karma, the car is more powerful, looks more dashing and promises better thrills than ever before.

The Revero is a hybrid car that utilizes an internal combustion engine, two electric motors and a battery. The ICE unit is provided by BMW and is a 1.5-liter three-cylinder in-line deployed on a wide range of Bavarian-made cars.

Helping the ICE unit along are two electric motors. Combined, the powertrain develops a total of 535 hp and 745 Nm of torque. That’s enough for an acceleration time to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds and a limited top speed of 125 mph (201 kph).

The 28-kWh battery fitted inside the Revero is there to help the car move along using electricity only for as far as 61 miles (98 km).

The Revero GT is priced from $135,000 and is already on sale. Karma even has one up for grabs as part of an Omaze campaign, meaning you can get one for as little as $10 and a bucket-load of luck.

Aside from the car itself, the winner will also get a spot on the exclusive Karma California Experience Tour, two nights accommodations in a Southern California luxury oceanfront resort, and a guided tour of the Karma facility in Moreno Valley, California.

The sweepstake concludes on December 16. Until then, you can have a look at what you might get in the gallery attached above.
