Being reliable, safe and hard working is basically a ticket to getting the older, more boring customers. Of course these sort of folks change their cars every ten years or so, and Subaru decided that won't do, so their design is going to be livened up a bit.
Looking like something from a science fiction movie, the new Viziv Concept (picture above) is the way to go for the Japanese automaker. Design elements from this very front end will likely make their way onto the performance concept they promised us for next week's New York Auto Show.
Subaru's global design chief Osamu Namba described their current design language as being too tame, so the angular headlights are probably going to be the ones being adopted.
"From here out, we want people to look at the headlamps and think 'Ah, Subaru," Namba told Autonews. He wants to give all future Subarus a more technological appearance, and we kind of think he's right.
