This Guy Makes Amazing Car Renderings on His Lunch Breaks, Here’s a Photoshop Tutorial

Gone are the days when we had to grow a beard inside our imaginary helmets while waiting for artists to draw potential versions of a car. Nowadays, tons and tons of renderings show up as soon as the slightest rumor about an upcoming vehicle emerges.

There are all the great digital artists out there who cater to our shooting brake needs and then there’s this guy - we’re talking about 22-year-old Khyzyl Saleem, who has learned to channel his car urges in a violently profound manner, one that we absolutely adore.

Tis pixel master comes up with some of the best mashups we’ve seen. He mixes memorable vehicles, from the Ferrari 250 GTO to your favorite 911, with a Steampunk Cyberpunk attitude.

Nevertheless, we feel his renderings are truly set apart by the junkie theme he uses. We’re sick and tired of having to treat our rims and bumpers as if they were made of thin glass and this guy clearly exploits our darkest supercar abuse fantasies.

Khyzyl was introduced to Photoshop by his father, many years ago, but now he is ready to share the knowledge he has gained with the world.

The digital artist, who also works for Electronic Arts, has taken the time to put together a tutorial. We are talking about a clip that shows how a brilliant Cosworth machine is transformed into a delicious nightmare for the other drives.

And speaking of time, Khyzyl explains he completes his pieces during his lunch breaks. Sure, watching the video below makes it all look easy, but once you get your mouse on those brushes, you’ll realise this might become a weekend project until you get used to the pixel play. Have fun in the process!

In case you were wondering, here's a sample of his work we gave you in the past.
