This Guy Desperately Needs a Truck - And a New Set of Shocks for His Accord

It might be slightly difficult to imagine but, for various reasons, not everyone living in the U.S. owns a pickup truck. Money, the fact they don't need one for 99 percent of the time, or any other reason you can think of could all play a role in their vehicle choice.

However, there comes a time in everyone's life when the luxury of a large open bed at the back would be welcome, and that's usually when you pick up the phone and call your truck-owning friend. Because let's face it, maybe not everyone has a truck, but we all know somebody who does, right?

Well, this man's friend was definitely busy that day, and aren't we glad that he was because otherwise, we wouldn't have gotten this short but very condensed clip. What you are witnessing is essentially somebody using the roof of their Honda Accord as a pickup bed by loading way too much stuff on it.

Judging by how compressed the car's suspension system is, it's safe to assume the load isn't just bulky but also heavy. We were tempted to commend Honda's engineers for making the roof so strong, but then we remembered it's meant to withstand the weight of the car in case of a rollover, so it stopped being that impressive.

What is impressive, though, is how carefully constructed the whole thing is. At first glance, it looks disorganized, but pay a little more attention, and you'll notice a lot of thought went into it. The load is evenly spread throughout the whole length of the car and is securely fastened in several points using an intricate network of straps and strings.

The large box on top seems like an afterthought, but it too appears to be well secured. However, if there's a time-lapse video of the entire packing process out there, we would really like to see it. If nothing else, we would at least like to know how they managed to lift the box so high, considering it only barely fits under the cables on the side of the street.

The guy seems extremely confident about his work, too. You can see it in the way he drives on; you or I would have been extremely cautious, doing five miles per hour while having the hazard lights on at all time. Him? He just merges into traffic as though nothing was out of the ordinary.

As he drives away, we notice something: his car has a towing hook. Wow, that's a missed opportunity if there ever was one - adding a fully loaded trailer to the mix. Well, maybe he's saving that for a future video.
