As much as we love sportscars drifting down on the famous Transfagarasan (or other great roads), sometimes these skaters just make our day. And it is the case of the American manufacturer Arbor Skateboards, who have recently released a new video that is as breath-taking as it is memorable. The footage shows one of the team riders downhill skating with great skill and unmatched intensity of speed.
The clip was filmed with Arbor team rider, James Kelly, to support the launch of his new professional skateboard model. Nicknamed the American Dream, the skater truly shows what years of experience and great passion are all about. Born in Petaluma, California, the skater spent his entire life riding with some of downhill’s most influential skaters. According to the ones who created the video, James has been showing that there is no road that can’t be conquered.
And that is pretty much the feeling one gets watching the scene. Besides the obvious insane ride, it’s pretty clear the man knows what he’s doing. His abilities to skate anything at speed perfectly work together with the discipline required for any pro to keep calm when the risk is huge. Sounds similar to what a truly gifted racer should be like, right?
As to the actual board the ad was filmed for, according to its creators, the shape has a long wide platform, multiple wheelbase options, and the right amount of rocker. “It provides versatility and confidence when approaching speed,” the new model is described. Whether you are a skate enthusiast, a adrenaline junky or none of the two, we’re pretty sure you’ll agree with us it is at least worth watching.
