This C 63 AMG Sings the Symphony of Hell

As far as we know, the Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG from the following video has a bone stock exhaust and it even has its catalytic converters in place.

In other words, the fact that it sounds like it probably shouldn't be road legal in some countries is a testament of how dedicated the AMG engineers from Affalterbach are.

We should remind you that the M156 V8 found under the hood of this teutonic muscle car was developed completely from scratch as an in house project by AMG and it's not derived from any other Mercedes-Benz engine.

We're talking about a 6.2-liter, normally-aspirated eight cylinder that is a more than a worthy successor to the 6.8-liter leviathan in the now-classic Mercedes-Benz 300 SEL 6.8.

From 457 hp to 631 hp have been squeezed over the years from it without resorting to a supercharger, nor a turbocharger, so besides sounding like a rabid mechanical tiger gargling with spark plugs it's also legendary when it comes to performance.

We are completely in love with the way it sounds and we know we're not the only ones. The way it's clearing its throat like a heavy cigar smoker at low revs and then transforms into an all-out roar at high revs is simply epic from our point of view and we're never going to get tired of posting any video we can find of it in action. Enjoy!
